The husband and wife team of Marsa and Don Cornell, founded First Impression in 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Socially we are experts advising proper etiquette in the wording of invitations, including all pieces needed for a wedding (invitations, announcements, menus, programs and personal stationery), special events, corporate dinners, charity balls and other occasions. 

Marsa got her start at Copenhaver (one of the oldest engraving companies in Washington D.C.) in 1979. After serving a long apprenticeship, she progressed from the engravers bench, to eventually being production manager on hundreds of projects.

With over 20 years of passion in the field of engraving, Don still loves to take fine hand engraving and transform it into a genuine piece of art. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., he originally perfected his craft at some of our nation’s most prestigious engraving companies.
