We produced this interactive DATA CD for one of Kentucky’s premier private schools, St. Francis High School. The story is told from the perspective of administrators, teachers, students, and parents.

When the viewer first opened the presentation, they saw the ‘home’ screen, which listed the six ‘chapters’ of information, and a ‘resources’ section.

The ‘Welcome’ chapter had a two  minute video from the ‘Head of School’, introducing herself and the school.

Each chapter, such as this one, ‘Students’, had an introductory screen. You could read some highlights, watch a video, or navigate ‘deeper’ into the presentation.

In this case, that was the ‘Student Life’ slide show with audio.  The slide show’s audio was real ‘ambient’ sound which really brought the photos ‘to life’.

The ‘faculty & academics’ chapter followed the basic concept. Use text to introduce the viewer to that chapter, let them watch a compelling video. They they can navigate deeper if they so choose.

If they chose ‘meet the faculty’, they saw this . . .

And for each instructor, there was a ‘detail’ screen. It usually contained a ‘pull quote’, told you of their credentials, and contained a video showing them in action.

The video was also narrated by that instructor.

The fourth chapter was ‘activities & athletics’.  As to be expected, introductory text, compelling video, and slide show with audio.

Once again, the ‘students in action’ slide show’s audio has ambient sound which brings the photos to life.

In the fifth chapter, ‘parents speak’, the text introduces the video, which is a very sincere message from multiple parents.

In the final chapter, ‘why choose’, the text and the video  tell of the value of a  St. Francis education from those who are actually paying for it . . .

the parents.

The  ‘resources’ screen gives the viewer contact information, and lets them print (on their computer) various forms, and other materials.

All of which, validate to the viewer that this is indeed “The School of Thought”.  It was a great success and well received by everyone who watched it.
