This shoot was difficult because it was during a ‘live’ performance in front of few thousand people at a outdoor summer festival.  The band members were constantly moving and the lights were always changing color, direction, and intensity.

Getting a great photo was a sequence of steps and patience.

First, we had to ‘visualize’ a spot on the floor where we anticipated the talent would move to which would give us the background we desired.  Then we would get into ‘our’ position, ‘compose’ the shot, adjust the camera and take a ‘test’ shot.

Then, after determining the correct manual settings to give us the exposure and ‘look’ we wanted . . . we would wait for the talent to move back into position, and for the lights to move and change color . . . then quickly click off two or three shots.

If we got something useable, we moved to a different set-up.  If not, we then waited for the talent AGAIN to move into position and we’d fire off another burst . . . until we got what we wanted.

Definitely tedious . . . but the results were certainly worth it!

Please Note: These are VERY LOW RESOLUTION sample images. The ‘originals’ are much CLEARER and more VIVID.

We also produced a custom ‘snow globe’ Christmas card for them (5.5” x 4.25 “ when folded).

(shown left to right) The whole card, inside lower half, and the outside cover.

The card was very well received.

Over the last year, we also produced many promotional posters for them. Below are just a few from the collection.Media_Innovators_Photography_Example_01_files/LBE%20at%20RiverStage%20-%201280x720%20LONG.mp4

We also came up with the idea for creating a fictitious ‘radio spot’ video.
The video was created in such a way that it could easily be ‘personalized’ for wherever they were playing.
They would ask the venue to place this video on their FaceBook page a week prior to their performance.
This would not only help promote the ‘event’, but would create instant credibility for the band
and lead to many more ‘likes’ to the band’s FaceBook page as well.Media_Innovators_Photography_Example_01_files/LBE%20at%20RiverStage%20-%201280x720%20LONG_2.mp4
