This photo was for a client producing a documentary and associated handbook about a very prominent scientist from the late 1800s, Dr. Joseph Leidy.  Dr. Leidy was a world renown paleontologist. Paleontology shares many traits of biology, geology, and archeology.

Only one reflector was used to ‘soften’ it up a little.

The title is “In Search of Leidy”.  Now you know why it was shot in that location, and the reason behind the man’s pose. The photo has to ‘fit’ the ‘objective’.
