We shot most all the homes at the most prominent ‘Home Show’ in our area. We shot over 1000 photos over a period of ten days.  This one photo shows our attention to detail.

Notice how the table has a small spot light ‘accenting’ it. There’s also one on the framed print behind the table. (See how the walls brighter?) Ditto, for the corner of the dual ovens.  The island display cases also have large soft lights positioned  at floor level filling them. (You didn’t think just those little lights in those cases were illuminating them, did you?)

There’s another spot hitting the top of the counter to the left of the oranges. There’s a soft light to the right of the refrigerator, just slightly out of sight. This is what brings out the stainless steel ‘look’ of the refrigerator.

Additionally, there is a small spot from the upper right shining just on the ‘oranges’ container. It gives them ‘shape’. (The ‘giveaway’ is the bright-to-darker edges on the oranges.)

Lastly, we had some large fills to raise the overall light level of the kitchen area. Otherwise, the shot would have been too ‘contrasty’ and not looked ‘realistic’.

If you look carefully, you’ll notice all the different shadow ‘angles’.  That’s a good clue as to a shot’s lighting scheme.

We’ve also included a few other shots taken from that home.

We usually used from four to seven lights per shot.  See if you can figure out where they were?

Please Note: These are VERY LOW RESOLUTION sample images. The ‘originals’ are much CLEARER and more VIVID.
