This photo is of ‘Academy Senior Fellow’ Bob Peck in a non-public area at the ‘Academy of Natural Sciences’ in downtown Philadelphia.  It is an example on how seven lights, thoughtfully used, gave us that ‘look’.

Two soft umbrellas were positioned close and on either side of  him, and at chest level, to fill out his face and body.

Two ‘harder’ spots were positioned high at the upper left and upper right to act as ‘kickers’ to ‘rim’ his body.

The upper left spot brings out the folds in his sweater.

Two more spots were positioned high on stands and were directed towards the tabletop behind him and the bookcase in the very back.  (It’s NOT the table lamp casting that ‘glow’ on the tabletop.)

Lastly, a small spot, at a distance, @ 24 inches off the ground was directed to the table behind him.  That’s what gave us the bright edges on that table and its chairs.

Please Note: These are VERY LOW RESOLUTION sample images. The ‘originals’ are much CLEARER and more VIVID.
