Every now an then you just have to ‘adapt’.

This time we were shooting photos for a small business gathering at an individual’s home.  Initially, we thought we’d be shooting the photos outside with the basic “reflector and shallow depth of focus”.

The problem was that the light that day was overcast and very flat.

And the only place we had available was the garage . . . so we hung up a large white cloth as a background (aka ‘bed sheet’), set up the appropriate lights (luckily we had brought them in case of emergency) and took a variety of photos.

Looking at these four excerpts, you’d never suspect there were tools and work benches just a few feet away.

Please Note: These are VERY LOW RESOLUTION sample images. The ‘originals’ are much CLEARER and more VIVID.
