This is s 30 second HD TV commercial we produced for a popular annual golf tournament.

‘Technically’, it was done very well . . . However, the reason we included this spot is because it is a classic example of what happens when you put TOO MANY WORDS in a commercial.

In an attempt to say ‘everything’, it is non-stop barrage of words spoken at a furious pace.  Had they just taken out (or combined) a few sentences, it would have changed the whole ‘character’ of the message.

We tried to get them to reduce the number of words but the client’s ‘marketing’ representative was insistent.

You be the judge.

(BTW, the next spot we did for them was CONSIDERABLY slower, and we think, much more effective.)
